Al Lackey
President

Since 1996, Al Lackey has served as President of Kids Alive International-USA and is responsible for its worldwide ministry.

Prior to joining Kids Alive, Al was the Executive Director of Cedar Lake Conference Center in Cedar Lake, Indiana for 17 years. He graduated with a B.S. degree from John Brown University and a Masters degree from Eastern Michigan University.

“I received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior as a young child under my father and mother’s teaching. My experience as a child of a missionary pastor for the Rural Bible Mission taught me a lot about the provisions of God and His faithfulness. I still remember a faithful lady who brought our family groceries weekly and other friends who gave my brother, sisters, and me gifts for our birthday and Christmas.

During my teen years, some doubts about the relevancy of Christianity developed in my life. But fortunately my involvement in our youth group and a mission trip to the island of Dominique strengthened my weakening faith and sowed a seed of love for world missions and full time ministry.

In my adult life, I am striving to be more Christ-like - to exemplify a life style that reflects our Lord Jesus Christ - to my children, wife, and others. I find pleasure in studying God’s word and attending our church. I am committed to becoming more Christ-like and finishing well.”

Al and his wife, Anita, live in Cedar Lake and have three grown children: Amy, Mark, Amanda, and seven grandchildren.
