Valerie grew up in neighboring Portage, Indiana and was somewhat familiar with Kids Alive® International, but it wasn’t until 2002 that God opened the doors for her to join the staff as Executive Administrative Assistant.

Prior to Kids Alive, Valerie lived in the Chicagoland area where she attended and worked at Christian Life College and then later earned her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Trinity International University. Working in a variety of office positions since high school, she is amazed at how God doesn’t waste any of life’s experiences, but uses them to accomplish His good purposes.

“God has taken my desire to help the hurting, and combined it with what I have learned over the years to allow me the privilege of working at Kids Alive. I have great satisfaction and enjoyment knowing that perhaps, in some small way, I am able to help our missionaries rescue the unloved and unwanted children of the world, so that they can hear that Someone does love them – and His name is Jesus.”
