A teenage girl overcomes her pre-teen trauma, substance abuse, and fear at Oasis. Gabi tried to find solace with alcohol, cigarettes, and self-banishment. Nothing worked. When she came to Oasis, she couldn’t look staff in the eye or engage in conversation. Shame shackled her. However, through loving nurturing, she broke loose, began to trust, grow confident, and share her story. Gabi now finds solace in God and her caregivers and looks forward to a bright future.
