Drought Relief Reaches Kenya

Because of friends like you, more than 100 families in several desperately poor villages in Kenya recently received beans, grain and corn!

Most of these families live in abject poverty. And because of the drought, their children are accustomed to eating only one meal a day, but sometimes they don’t even get that.

In hope of finding relief from the drought, many parents have taken their livestock to the hill country to look for green grazing pastures. However, they will stay away for months at a time, leaving their children to fend for themselves, their siblings and even elderly grandparents. 

The churches assisting with the food distribution in these remote villages were often located in small, one-room huts.  And one particular church didn’t even have a building, so they met regularly under a large shade tree. Despite these humble surroundings, when the Gospel was shared - more than 20 people placed their trust in Jesus Christ!

Your generous support has allowed us to provide an unbelievable blessing to many hungry people. All the food was distributed and the families were incredibly thankful. 

But in light of the magnitude of this enormous need, there’s still much more to be done. So, caring Christians continue to join together and do what they can. Lives are being saved and hearts are being impacted for eternity.

More food relief is still urgently needed today!
