Jacob’s Story
After Jacob’s (not actual name) mother died, his father refused to take any responsibility for his care and left him with his mother’s sister. But Jacob’s aunt and her alcoholic husband already had two children of their own, and being stretched beyond their means meant Jacob did not receive the care he needed. Eventually Jacob was able to come and live with us at a Kids Alive home. While he was not even registered in school when he first came to us, Jacob is now – at age 8 – learning to read and write. Most important, he has settled in with his new family and has found a place of belonging among his new “brothers and sisters.” Please pray that as Jacob grows in stature he also will grow in the knowledge and love that he has found in his Savior!
