In 2001, Kids Alive wanted to expand services to rural villages in the Dominican Republic.  The Palo Blanco Care Center offers newly constructed facilities with an ever-growing children’s program.  The young children attend a pre-school class held at the Care Center weekday mornings to prepare them for kindergarten.  Children from the public school come to Palo Blanco Care Center for a healthy lunch and opportunities for educational enrichment in reading, writing, Bible class, English, crafts and tutoring.
