Paul’s Story
Paul came to the Kids Alive Kenya Home when he was just a one-year-old. His mother had died of AIDS, and he was seriously neglected and found to have anemic iron deficiency. Being so terribly sick and weak, there seemed little chance he would survive. But Paul had a good appetite, and he gradually put on weight and responded well to medical treatment. With physiotherapy he was able to start walking. Paul is now six years old, enjoys playing with the other children, and is making good progress in his education program. If he had not been rescued so early in his life, it is almost certain that he would have not lived beyond his second birthday.
