Water of Life

Water and Kids Alive

water-girl-need

Worldwide over 4,500 children die each day from unsafe water and lack of sanitation facilities — more than 1.6 millions childhood deaths each year.

Specific efforts are underway in a number of countries to guarantee pure water to Kids Alive residential homes and projects, including:

Myanmar (Burma): Drill a well, install an electric pump and generator to run it, and a purchase water storage tank,.

Papua New Guinea:  Schools and a medical center depend on rain collection tanks for water and Kids Alive needs six additional water collection/storage tanks.

Sudan: Wells need to be drilled to supply water to two new Homes, our Home in Khartoum and to the local communities.

Kenya: The Kids Alive Boys’ Center needs to drill and equip a new well (see the news article).

Lebanon: Drinking water is currently being purchased until we have a new storage tank and pump to provide purified water for about 100 people.

Zambia: Wells are needed at the first of six new Homes in Mongu, Zambia along with a second well to provide for 170 children attending the Kids Alive School.

Together, the water projects in these six countries will cost well over $100,000 to complete, and other water-related needs will increase as Kids Alive grows and cares for more orphaned and abandoned children.

Your gift today will help provide clean, healthy water to children in need.
