We are excited about your upcoming trip and look forward to working with you during your preparation for the field. Please use the attached checklist to see which forms must be printed from our website and turned in 30 days prior to your departure. Support Raising ProcessesWe understand and appreciate that service team members are often times raising funds to participate in these trips. In order to do so, we’d like to give you a few recommended support raising books to help in the process. People Raising: A Practical Guide to Raising Support (Dillon, William): Order Here Funding Your Ministry (Morton, Scott): Order Here In addition, please feel free to hold additional fundraisers you think would be beneficial during your support raising process. Travel InsuranceCheck the insurance policy that you are currently covered under. If you need accident and health coverage outside the USA, or wish to purchase additional travel insurance, you may enroll in a temporary insurance package specifically for short-term service. The best way to enroll is over the Internet on the Good Neighbor Insurance website: www.gninsurance.com. If you decide to purchase temporary insurance through another provider, be sure that it will cover you overseas. It is required that every Kids Alive Short-term Missionary and Service Team Participant have health and accident insurance.
PassportsPassports are required to enter all of our locations around the world. Please make sure that you have a passport, and/or apply for one in a timely manner prior to your trip. Please Click Here for more information on how to obtain a US passport.
ImmunizationsKids Alive encourages team members to use the CDC’s website at in collaboration with their physician’s recommendations in order to determine what immunizations are necessary for upcoming travel. Please note that many immunizations may be available at your local health department for a reduced rate. Please Click Here for more information.
