Hi, I’m Brian Smith with WNFR 90.7 FM.  During our 25^th year of service to our community in the Thumb of Michigan and Southwest Ontario, we want to offer you many fun opportunities to celebrate with us - BUT we also want to help point all our hearts to some needs outside of the Blue Water area as well.

 One way we’ve chosen to do this is by partnering with Kids Alive International.  It's impossible for you or me to do something for 100 million suffering children, but through Kids Alive we can make a real difference in the life of ONE child.  We’ve decided to focus on kids in Peru and we’re leading a mission team there this summer.  Another way we’re impacting these kids through radio is by trying to get people like you to sponsor a child there.

 Did you know???

• Almost 20% of the Peruvian children are forced to work as child laborers to help their family survive.
• Half the population of Peru lives below the poverty line; surviving on less than $2/day.
• And more than 570,000 orphans roam the streets of Peru with nowhere to go and no one to help them.
