Every 15 seconds, another child becomes an HIV/AIDS
orphan in Africa.  Unfortunately, HIV/AIDS isn’t the only
reason there are orphans.  War, poverty, malaria, hunger, and abuse create a world of children in crisis calling out for someone to help.

Kids Alive® International has answered the call of James 1:27:  Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:  to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.  NIV

In our 86 ministry locations throughout the world, Kids Alive missionaries and national leaders love and care for these helpless children, and address their critical needs. In countries where entire families struggle to live on less than a dollar a day, your generous gifts have made the difference between life and death.

Kids Alive is often these kids only hope!

These children -- abandoned, orphaned, sometimes refugees -- have no one else to turn to for help.  Kids Alive is currently providing care for more than 6500 children in 17 countries every day through our Residential homes, Care Centers and schools.

We provide every child we can (not only those in residential care) with medical attention, nourishing meals, shoes, clothes and – where needed –school uniforms.  Most importantly, we love them and introduce as many as we can to Jesus.

Soaring food prices worldwide have added an unanticipated $180,000 to our 2008 budget just to meet the needs of our existing children.  And to step out in faith to rescue 500 additional children next year, we need an additional $1,250,000.  That means we must raise $1,430,000 by December 31st to balance this years’ budget and be in a strong position to help even more children in 2009.  Please pray for the need and do all you can to help.  Together – with God’s help – we can meet and overcome this faith challenge!
