Sudan Refugees Flee to the South

These refugees, many of whom had migrated north for jobs, are fleeing back to the south after Southern Sudan voted for independence just a few months ago. Also, street children in the north are being rounded up and trucked to the south. And the desperate reality these refugees face is that food prices have skyrocketed. Jobs are scarce. And thousands more people are arriving every day.
You know Kids Alive’s mission is to rescue orphaned and abandoned children from a life of hopelessness by caring for their physical and spiritual well-being.
But even though our primary focus is children, we can’t turn our back on this massive humanitarian crisis that is playing out in front of our eyes. Men, women, and families, as well as street children, are pouring into the area around the city of Wau, where we currently care for boys and girls.
Won’t you help reach out with vital emergency supplies to girls, boys, men and women who have left everything to come back to Southern Sudan?
Please act today!
Each $45 you send will provide an Emergency Survival Pack with a month’s supply of beans, rice, oil and water. And each survival pack will also contain God’s Word so that people can drink Living Water and meet the Bread of Life — Jesus Christ.
