Kids Alive works in some of the most challenging places in the world – where poverty is destroying people’s lives; where conflict and violence is raging; where children face unimaginable suffering. Pray with us this week for children from crisis situations, particularly in Lebanon and South Sudan.

Monday June 2nd
There are more than one million Syrian refugees in Lebanon, many of them children who have fled their homes and lost almost everything. Pray that these children would know God’s peace in the midst of this very uncertain and volatile situation.

Tuesday June 3rd
Civil violence has driven the world’s newest country, South Sudan, to the brink of catastrophe. Pray for more than a million people – including many children – that have been forced to flee their homes due to this horrific conflict. Many live in refugee camps where conditions are deplorable.

Wednesday June 4th
Kids Alive Lebanon is reaching out to suffering Syrian refugee children, providing them with education, meals and other support. Pray that these children would feel cared for and secure, and that they would know the Lord’s comfort and peace at this time.

Thursday June 5th
Kids Alive is seeking funding needed to help more than 700 children that critically need our help. Please pray for a good response to our recent “Operation Kids in Crisis” appeal, that we would be able to meet these children’s physical needs, help them to go to school – and share with them the amazing love that Christ has for them.

Friday June 6th
Pray for the 16 former street children at our Good Shepherd Home in the town of Wau, South Sudan. Thank God for His protection of them during the recent violence. Pray that each of these young men would grow up to serve Him and make a real impact in their communities in the future.

Saturday June 7th
Three new classrooms are being constructed in Lebanon so that we can educate more Syrian refugee children. Pray for the funding, resources and new teachers that are needed – and that these new facilities would make a huge difference in the lives of the children that are served.

Sunday June 8th
Pray for our Field Directors in these countries – Joseph Ghattas in Lebanon, and Francis Tombe in Sudan – and their staff teams, that the Lord would strengthen them daily and that they would know His wisdom and peace as they manage their ministries in very challenging circumstances.
