Have you ever walked a path that seemed dark and difficult, one that made you want to turn back until someone joined you?
Our kids are walking difficult paths as they journey out of poverty and other kinds of hopelessness. Some are the first in their families to go to school and don’t know what it is to have support at home. Some have lived through horrific abuse and find it hard to trust adults, even loving teachers. Others are refugees who have walked far from their home countries only to find they’re not welcome anywhere.
And all of these kids walked into a 2020 they could never have imagined. We are grateful that your gifts helped us prepare them to weather unexpected challenges and to rely on the faithfulness of their good Father.
