In one of the English language’s most beloved Christmas carols, the lyricist takes a stroll through the village of Bethlehem and reminds us how blessed this town was to be the birthplace of the Savior:
Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting Light. The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.
Why? Because both the fears and the hopes of all humanity are timeless...and in that moment in history, in that tiny outpost of Jerusalem, hope took hold!
It’s that same hope that we celebrate together in this season, and part of our celebration is being able to share it with the vulnerable children we serve. This 2018 Christmas Gift Catalog is full of ways to “wrap up” some hope and give gifts that change lives...and this year we have several brand new choices as you consider how to help orphans and at-risk kids.
So join me in celebrating our Lord’s birth, and in sharing with kids all over the world the abundant life He offers!
