Meaghen Burge grew up in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She had a nine year career as a police officer before she felt God calling her into full-time ministry. After surrendering to the call God had for her life, she finished her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Psychology and her Master’s in Human Service Counseling through Liberty University

Meaghen first visited the Kids Alive Oasis in Guatemala while on a mission trip with her church and began to recognize that all of her past experiences and education would be put to good use with Kids Alive. After praying and seeking good counsel, Meaghen is using those skills as a missionary in Guatemala. Meaghen is the project coordinator at the Source of Hope School in Guatemala. She serves as the sponsorship coordinator, scholarship coordinator, and manages community projects. However, what Meaghen loves most is teaching devotional times to the 7-9th graders and administrating discipleship groups with the young ladies who attend the school. She loves watching God “get a hold” of the students and the process as He reveals their true identity and potentials. Meaghen married Raul in January, 2018. They both enjoy exploring the beautiful landscape of Guatemala and its delicious coffee.
