At the Chikondi Care & Justice Center, Kids Alive provides immediate holistic care for children who have experienced sexual violence, abandonment, or other forms of trauma. Each child receives shelter, nutritious meals, medical attention, and trauma-informed counseling from trained caregivers and therapists. More than just meeting basic needs, Chikondi offers a safe and nurturing space where trust is rebuilt and healing begins. While children are being cared for in the short term, our team works diligently toward long-term solutions: family tracing, careful reintegration into loving homes, and ongoing support to ensure children can grow up in safe, stable environments. Social workers accompany children through the justice system, ensuring their voices are heard and perpetrators are held accountable. Every step is designed to bring restoration—body, mind, soul, and spirit—so that children can flourish in family and community once again.
