Guest Speakers

Judge Rosemarie Aquilina

Judge Rosemarie Aquilina serves on Michigan’s 30th Circuit Court, following years as Chief Judge of the 55th District Court and a distinguished 20-year career in the Michigan Army National Guard, where she was the first female JAG Officer. Beyond the courtroom, she is a professor, author, and community leader, known for her deep commitment to justice, teaching, and mentoring. Judge Aquilina is passionate about supporting Kids Alive and shares our vision of restoring hope and dignity to children who have survived abuse.

Coach Valorie Kondos Field

Affectionately known as “Coach Val,” Valorie Kondos Field served as head coach of the UCLA Gymnastics Team for 29 years, proving that true success comes from honoring athletes as people first. A former professional ballet dancer and choreographer, she stepped into coaching without prior gymnastics experience and went on to become one of the sport’s most celebrated leaders. Her journey is captured in her book Life is Short, Don’t Wait to Dance and a TED Talk with over 6 million views. Widely hailed by her athletes as the original Ted Lasso, Coach Val now teaches leadership at UCLA and the University of Arkansas, inspiring others to cultivate character, joy, and resilience.
