Dear friends,

I am delighted to announce the appointment of Karin Douglas as our new Senior Vice President of Global Engagement and Partnerships starting Oct 1, 2021.

Karin comes to us with over 25 years of nonprofit fundraising, strategy, board development, and entrepreneurial experience as a strategy consultant. She has guided philanthropies, corporate social responsibility teams, and nonprofit organizations across a broad range of causes, including the arts, human services, faith-based institutions, higher education, and professional associations. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and in boardrooms guiding and inspiring civic and corporate leaders.

After two decades of fundraising across the US based out of North Carolina, Karin moved to Metro Atlanta in 2010. Since then, Karin has fully immersed herself in the nonprofit community, leading an Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation-funded community empowerment project to benefit residents of Atlanta’s gentrifying Westside community. She has also served as an executive coach for an Executive Director Collaboration Circle funded by Annie E. Casey Foundation, and provided strategic planning and leadership development services to youth and family-serving organizations.

Karin has held fundraising and external relations positions at Davidson College, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University, Children’s Defense Fund, Georgia Tech, and Communities in Schools of Georgia. She served as a resource development subject-matter expert with the Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) and received top ratings as an instructor in GCN’s Nonprofit University.

Karin is a member of Mount Paran Church in Atlanta. She volunteers with her alma mater, Davidson College, and serves on the board of the Georgia Center for Opportunity.

Please join me in welcoming Karin.
