Welcome, CAFO attendees!

Too many children’s stories are a journey from crisis to restoration. We are grateful to God for the Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) eighteen years of leadership in bringing together, inspiring, and equipping Christians to fulfill the Bible’s call to serve at-risk and abused children. CAFO crossed denominational lines so Christians could cross international borders bringing Christ’s love in word and deed.

Kids Alive International transforms the lives of children around the world in the following ways.

Preventive Programs: We provide early intervention through education. At the same time, we meet physical needs and nurture discipleship that encourages hope under challenging circumstances.

Strengthening Programs: Our sites provide trauma-response care for children and teens at higher risk or who have suffered abuse (physical, emotional, or sexual). Kids Alive staff create multidisciplinary teams, including Christian social workers, psychologists, counselors, and attorneys, to address more challenging situations.

Restorative Programs: In collaboration with child protection systems, Kids Alive provides restorative care if a child must be legally removed from family or has no family option.

The video that brought you here highlights an option of our restorative model. While we work diligently to reunite children with their immediate or extended family, we know that’s not always possible.

Kids Alive created an innovative model for connecting children with alternative families. We partner with local churches to recruit mentors who often go further, deciding to commit their lives to the child. As a result, they work with us to obtain legal custody through fostering, guardianship, or adoption.

“My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.”
Isaiah 32:18 – NIV.

Kids Alive International has placed over 200 children in forever homes in the last four years; many of these were considered impossible to place because they were older with complex needs. But God delights in the impossible.
