Kids Alive is uniquely positioned in Lima’s urban center, jungles, and remote mountain areas to confront abuse and neglect. Our family strengthening and protective care programs empower families and communities to better protect and care for children while also promoting more just and child-friendly processes for cases of child sexual abuse. Our goal for each child is to know the love of God, to understand they are cherished, and to be equipped with the emotional, physical, and spiritual tools they need to thrive.

“Safe Havens” are Kids Alive’s global programs that focus on family strengthening through family care centers, protective care through residential homes and foster care, or justice advocacy through justice centers. These teams work tirelessly, in whichever Safe Haven they enter, to lead children to emotional health, equip the child and their family for independence and service, disciple them to a transforming relationship with God, and when needed, help them find justice and freedom from fear.
